Big Pine Classic benefit is April 30

— Willams Gas Pipeline-Transco will sponsor the eighth annual Williams Big Pine Golf Classic April 30 at the Laurel Country Club. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the United Way of the Pine Belt and the Pine Belt Chapter of the American Red Cross.
The tournament will feature a four-person scramble format and will also include a $10,000 hole in one contest. Other prizes include first, second, and third place teams, closest to the pin, longest drive, doorprizes and gift bags. The shotgun start at 9 a.m. will be proceeded by a special breakfast prepared by volunteers, staff and Board of the Red Cross beginning at 7:30 a.m. Lunch will also be served after the event. Green fees and cart rentals are included in the registration fees.
Sponsorships will be available for local businesses and a silent auction will also be held for donated items from local businesses as well. Anyone is invited to view and bid on auction items during the day.
