Red Cross Youth Seniors honored

The Pine Belt Chapter of the American Red Cross recently honored fourteen graduating seniors at the Chapter’s Annual Senior Reception. The teens were involved in Red Cross Youth Programs in Jones, Jasper, and Smith Counties and are the largest numbers of seniors to ever be honored by the Chapter. The seniors represent 58 years combined service and over 6,600 hours of community service while serving with the Red Cross. Many of the seniors have served five years of community volunteer service and represent numerous scholarships and awards at their individual schools. Over 200 youth were involved this past year in Red Cross Youth also a record year of involvement for the program.
