Joan Britton
Joan Britton, 74, of Laurel, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 2009 at Memory Chapel, with burial in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Rev. Jim Matheny will officiate.
She was an office manager for Tesoro Oil Company and a member of Kingston United Methodist Church. She was also a volunteer with the Pine Belt Chapter of the Red Cross.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan Britton and Mary McIlwain Britton; and her sister, Barbara Johnston.
She is survived by her brother, Joe Britton of Sierra Vista, Arizona; two nephews, Timothy Breland of Hattiesburg, and Michael Breland of Birmingham, Al; three nieces, Meg Dean of Falls Church, Virginia, Beth Aselage of Green Forest, Arkansas, and Jo Keith, Gainesville, Virginia; and a host of other family members.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Red Cross.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. Monday until the time of service at Memory Chapel of Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
